FilmFernsehFonds Bayern (FFF Bayern) is the public funding organization of Bavaria for film, TV, cinemas, XR/VR and digital games. Since 2009 FFF Bayern supports the development and production of high quality and innovative games with a culturally or educationally ambitious approach.

Mission

Together with our partners under the umbrella of Games / Bavaria we want to enhance and strengthen the Bavarian games industry, to ensure a diverse cultural landscape, and to support innovation. Our contribution is above all the project-based financial support of start-ups and established companies.

Applications for support may be submitted three times a year. The decisions by the Allocation Committee are made and published approximately six weeks after the application day. The maximum funding sum is € 20.000 for concept development (€ 30.000 for experienced studios), € 200.000 for prototype development and € 500.000 for production.

At various talks and events, the FFF Bayern informs the participants in lectures and panels about its funding activity, funded projects as well as the hub Games/Bavaria. Furthermore, the FFF Bayern hosts special events like the FFF hiking tour: Up to 60 representatives of the local games industry, science and education, politics, and the press meet for the FFF hiking tour, creating a unique casual networking opportunity.
